Mocktails
During the summer season mocktails are not to be excluded from any party. Mocktail is an artificial word that is composed of the word "to mock" which means to imitate and cocktail. While they only Imitate "real" cocktails, mocktails taste just like the real thing without the alcohol. Mocktails have been revolutionized by innovations such as non-alcoholic gin and super tasty spritz syrup. And the very best thing about mocktails? You can drink as much as you want and not have a nasty headache or hangover the next day!
Mocktail with grapefruit and thyme:
Ingredients for the syrup:
- 120 g sugar
- 240 ml water
- 30 g fresh thyme
Ingredients for the mocktail:
- 180 ml mineral water (sparkling)
- 2 teaspoons thyme syrup
- 80 ml fresh (organic-) grapefruit juice
- EIce cubes
Preparation: As for most mocktails, we first need a syrup as a base for our drink. We make this ourselves. To do this, heat sugar and water together. Give the resulting syrup hot over the fresh thyme. Let it stand for 2-3 hours, then remove the thyme and refrigerate the syrup. Now it's time to mix the mocktail: Fill a glass with ice cubes, add two teaspoons of thyme syrup, pour sparkling water and grapefruit juice and stir. Make it pretty with a sprig of fresh thyme and a piece of grapefruit. Add a reusable straw and you have the perfect summer mocktail!
Tip:You can make sustainable ice cubes yourself with our practical Ice Cuber. As a special cocktail highlight, you can also simply freeze the thyme or grapefruit in the ice cubes for garnishing.
Sparkling Tea
Who says that iced tea is only for the afternoon? A little pimped up, it also makes an elegant figure as a mocktail in the evening!
Ingredients:
- Black tes (e.g Earl Grey)
- 1 tsp (regional) honey
- 2 cl non-alcoholic gin
- 6 cl freshly squeezed (organic) lemon juice
- 4 cl mineral water (sparkling)
- Crushed ice
Preparation: First make the crushed ice: Simply crush the ice cubes in a tea towel, e.g. with a hammer. If you have a stand mixer, you can also use it to make crushed ice. Then it's time to mix: First, put the crushed ice into a glass. Then pour in the cold black tea, honey and lemon juice. Stir vigorously. Then add the non-alcoholic gin and top up with mineral water. The refreshing Sparkling Tea is ready.
Tequila Espresso Martini
The Espresso Martini is actually prepared classically with vodka. But in 2022 it becomes the Tequila Espresso Martini! The tequila shows more presence and gives the drink a stronger character. And this is how it is mixed:
Ingredients:
- 6 cl tequila
- 3 cl kahlúa
- 0.5 cl (approx. 1 tsp) agave syrup
- 3 cl espresso
- Ice cream
Preparation: Put all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill it up with ice. Then shake vigorously until a thin layer of ice forms on the outside of the shaker - now the Tequila Espresso Martini has its wonderfully creamy consistency. Pour the drink into a martini glass or tumbler and garnish with a coffee bean. Mhmmm!
Tumeric Tonic
Here is a "healthy cocktail" with turmeric. Because turmeric can reduce inflammation and lower cholesterol. But works only in combination with the piperine contained in pepper. Maybe it helps, otherwise the turmeric tonic also just tastes very good:
Ingredients:
- 3 cl vodka
- 6 cl (organic) pineapple juice
- 7 cl (organic) lemon juice
- 7 g (organic) turmeric bulb (you can also use powder)
- Black pepper
- Ice cubes
Preparation: First peel the turmeric bulb and puree it. Then put it in a shaker with the other ingredients and ice cubes and shake vigorously. Strain the finished cocktail into a glass and sprinkle with pepper. Slurp away!
Tip: Would you like a cocktail to go? In the evening at the river with friends or at a sustainable picnic you don't want to miss out on a cool drink? Then try our practical Li insulated container, which keeps your cocktail cold for up to 8 hours, no matter how hot it gets.
