ECO Brotbox Guarantee
We want you to enjoy and benefit from our products for as long as possible. That's why we make sure that our products meet high-quality standards and are designed to be robust and durable. To back this up, we offer you a 5-year manufacturer's guarantee, which goes beyond the legally required statutory warranty period. Good care of the products also helps to ensure their longevity. Please note, however, that this guarantee cannot be given on all products and components. Components such as silicone rings, elastic bands and cleaning brushes are subject to high wear and tear and are made of much more vulnerable materials than stainless steel. Instead, they are replaceable and can be individually purchased without having to replace the entire product.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS
ECO Brotbox GmbH (Reichenberger Straße, 10999 Berlin / Germany) grants purchasers of an ECO Brotbox product a manufacturer's guarantee in the event of defects or damage resulting from a defect in material and/or workmanship to the extent described below and subject to the terms and conditions set forth below.
1. Material scope of application
The guarantee protection applies to all ECO Brotbox products marked accordingly. The following products/components are excluded from the guarantee provision: silicone rings & other parts made from silicone, cleaning brushes, elastic bands, lid of Bento Classic+ Bamboo Edition and other parts made from wood, ECO Fresh Bags, product display for retailers.
2. Geographical scope
The geographical scope of the ECO Brotbox guarantee protection extends to the member states of the European Union (EU) - i.e. an ECO Brotbox product is covered by these guarantee conditions if it was purchased in a member state of the EU and is used there.
3. Reference to legal rights
ECO Brotbox GmbH points out that buyers are (also) entitled to the statutory rights (so-called statutory warranty) in case of defects of a purchased item against their seller. The use of these rights is free of charge; they are also not limited by the guarantee conditions here - regardless of whether the buyer has purchased the ECO Brotbox product directly from ECO Brotbox GmbH or from a dealer.
4. Guarantee period
The guarantee period is five years from the day on which the ECO Brotbox product was purchased from ECO Brotbox GmbH or a dealer. The guarantee period therefore begins on the date of sale to the purchaser as the first end user, as shown on the proof of purchase.
The guarantee period is not extended by a guarantee service; the guarantee period also does not start anew by a guarantee service performed.
5. Contents of the guarantee
Within the scope of this manufacturer's guarantee, ECO Brotbox GmbH grants the purchaser a claim to the elimination of the defect (repair) or delivery of a defect-free item (replacement delivery). ECO Brotbox GmbH shall have the right to choose between repair and replacement delivery.
ECO Brotbox GmbH shall carry out the repair or replacement delivery free of charge within a reasonable period of time, starting from the time when the purchasers have informed ECO Brotbox GmbH of a defect. This will take place without considerable inconvenience to the purchasers and take into account the type of goods and the purpose for which the purchasers require these goods.
In the event of a repair, the ECO Brotbox product will be repaired and returned to the purchaser within five business days if all replacement parts are available, otherwise no later than 21 business days after receipt of the defective product. Replacement products will be shipped to the buyer within five business days of receiving the defective product if the replacement products are available.
The expenses required for the purpose of repair or replacement delivery, in particular transport, travel, labor and material costs, shall be borne by ECO Brotbox GmbH.
ECO Brotbox GmbH shall take back the item replaced in the event of a replacement delivery at its own expense. The purchaser shall neither be required to surrender any benefits nor to compensate for them in terms of their value.
The ECO Brotbox guarantee does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear (e.g. scratches), insofar as these do not affect the functionality of the ECO Brotbox product.
Also not covered by the guarantee is damage resulting from improper use or handling (e.g., damage due to dropping/impact, deformation due to overheating, under pressure or over pressure, or damage due to improper care or cleaning).
Reference is made to the instructions for use, care and cleaning of the ECO Brotbox products (these are located on the product packaging).
6. Procedure for claiming the guarantee
The assertion of a guarantee claim must first be made via the returns platform , stating the product with a description of the defect and photos.
When claiming the guarantee, a proof of purchase must be submitted showing the date of purchase by the purchaser as the first end user. In addition to the address, the purchaser is also requested to provide contact information such as a telephone number and/or email for any related queries.
The defective item is to be made available to ECO Brotbox GmbH for the purpose of repair or replacement delivery after a corresponding request by ECO Brotbox GmbH. If the ECO Brotbox product is sent to ECO Brotbox GmbH by post, care must be taken to ensure that the packaging is stable and secure - both on the outside and inside - in order to avoid damage in transit; reference is made to instructions and tips from the transport service providers - such as:

If the product in question was purchased from an authorized ECO Brotbox dealer, the guarantee claim can also be processed through them. This is not a prerequisite for claiming under the guarantee; alternatively, the guarantee can also be claimed directly from ECO Brotbox GmbH - as described above.
For goods that can be returned by normal mail (parcel goods), ECO Brotbox GmbH offers to send a return slip that can be used for a cost-free return.If the return voucher is not used, ECO Brotbox GmbH shall not be liable for the resulting costs of the return.
Guarantee services are provided exclusively by ECO Brotbox GmbH or by authorized third parties on its behalf. In the event of repair by unauthorized third parties or replacement by third parties without the consent of ECO Brotbox GmbH, there shall be no claim for reimbursement of costs and/or expenses.
7. Rejection of the guarantee
If, upon inspection of the product, it turns out that there was no guarantee claim or that the guarantee claim does not apply for any other reason, ECO Brotbox GmbH shall be entitled to demand reimbursement of the costs of return from the purchaser; this shall not apply if the purchaser could not have recognized under the circumstances that the guarantee claim did not apply.
In such a case, ECO Brotbox GmbH shall endeavor, if possible, to offer a repair against payment at a flat service charge. Should such a repair not be feasible or desired in individual cases, the purchaser shall be obliged to take back the product at its own expense; ECO Brotbox GmbH shall immediately make the product available to the purchaser for collection or return it to the purchaser upon request.

9. Final provisions
These guarantee conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
Amendments and/or supplements to these guarantee conditions, including this form clause, must be made in text form (e.g. letter, fax, e-mail) to be effective.
